Happy Monday! It’s almost over and while normally I would be rejoicing that fact, this is one of my last college Mondays. It’s all becoming much too real and bittersweet! As the end of the school year approaches, final exams and projects are looming and all sorts of deadlines are cropping up. With so much to handle as it gets warmer and the social calendar gets busier as well, it can be difficult to juggle so much. Beyond school, priorities can easily be forgotten for a few weeks.
However, it’s important to remember long term goals and keep them in mind even in busier times. Maybe you have a have a hobby or a passion unrelated to school that seems to fall by the wayside this time of year. But Spring can be such a wonderful time for renewed creativity and inspiration, it’s a shame to let the time slide by and be inhabited by stress and exams. Besides, a hobby is a surefire way to de-stress and remember that exam grades don’t define you.
This finals season try to keep in mind what you want to be working towards, other than just a good exam grade. Staying balanced is the key to keeping sane and taking breaks to do the things we love can help us get closer to our potential futures. Not every dream is based off of something you learn in school. So make sure to make time for the pursuits that complete you, even if they’re not completely studious.
