Summer Nights in Prospect Park

Last weekend I made a very exciting discovery while walking home from the gym: there’s a new gelato place a block from my apartment. Which is perfect because post gym gelato makes so much sense! David and I went after dinner that night and I tried the vegan Nutella banana flavor (I’m not fully vegan but it’s better for my high cholesterol). It was delicious, as was David’s sorbet. It’s the cutest little shop and so conveniently placed, I have a feeling I’ll be a familiar customer in no time. Now that the oppressive heat of July has chilled slightly, the air at dusk is perfectly comfortable for walking (with gelato). I’m glad it’s still warm enough for gelato and my favorite summer style: a romper. Just like a dress, it’s a whole outfit in one piece, just with more mobility. Also currently in love with my new pearl barrette I scooped from a boutique in Old Town, Alexandria on my last D.C. visit.
