Is there ever a better time of year to bring out the red and green in full effect? I think not! Hence me wearing this versatile faux leather skirt probably a little too often lately. It pairs so well with any basic as well as statement pieces as it’s a bit basic itself. As with most things I buy, I got it secondhand at Crossroads for a fraction of the actual cost. I can’t advocate enough for shopping secondhand, not only does it save your wallet but it helps save the earth as well! Also highlight of this lovely skirt: pockets.
Lately I’ve been pairing this skirt with my winter staple: a turtleneck, tights, and over the knee boots. All make for maximum warmth despite wearing a skirt, which is always my priority. The boots are from Target and a steal, and honestly I have multiple pairs of Target shoes, some multiple years old and still going strong. Can’t beat a cheap but sound investment when you’re styling on a budget. Lucky for me, my favorite skirt pairs perfectly with one of my Mom’s purses… that happens to be a favorite of mine. Coincidence? I think not! Thanks for letting me borrow, Mom!
Linked are similar items and my exact boots, a winter staple that match everything and for $40 have held up despite the amount I wear them. Similar skirts linked are both under $50 in the spirit of getting mine secondhand for such a bargain!
