One of my favorite parts of summer is how acceptable and sometimes necessary it is to wear a dress. Dresses are so easy and versatile and make dressing in the morning a breeze. Winter used to make dresses somewhat obsolete to me except for special occasions, but thanks to milder weather and a sudden ability to tolerate stockings, I’ve rotated far more Winter dresses into my wardrobe. One of my favorites is this thrift store Elizabeth & James find. Silky and loose, it feels like I’m wearing pajamas and is ideal for a holiday dinner (conceals all evidence of a food baby!). I wore it recently while back home in Michigan for the holiday and was reminded of why dresses (even winter variations) are my favorite.
