A Sunday in New York City

Post-holiday time in New York is always quieter, perhaps just in contrast to the craziness that is November and December. I love making the most of weekends in the city when things have calmed down. I made the most of a recent Sunday by meeting my friend at the MoMA for some early morning culture before a midday brunch nearby. The space was open, minimal, and very modern as was to be expected. We enjoyed wandering the halls and noting how the art paid homage to the current political and social issues of the time period. It was pretty stunning to see iconic art like the Campbell’s soup can too. After a morning full of culture, we walked a few blocks north and had a lovely brunch at Maison Kayser, one of my favorites for as sit down in particular. All in all it was an enjoyable morning spent with a good friend enjoying New York specific sites.
