During a winter visit home where we found ourselves at the mall (a rare occurance to be sure), I found the perfect versatile plaid dress in Gap and on sale. I’ve since worn the dress to death throughout the season to work, dinners, and holiday events, and it has yet to fail me yet. I packed it for our recent trip abroad and it failed to disappoint yet again. Perfect for layering with a turtleneck or cardigan and cute tights, it can be dressed up with jewelry and nicer shoes or down as I wore it to the British Museum on a sunny London morning and the National Gallery in the rainy afternoon. I do love the pop of plum color and it pairs well with neutrals for layering which helps since I’m not usually one for “baring legs” in the winter.
