Ah July, mid summer and already mid-month. I’ve spent the first half of the month back in my hometown in Michigan, making the drive over to Lake MI multiple times and working from home with the family dog during the week. Summer in Michigan is an absolute dream but I’m excited to head back to the city this week with visitors scheduled through the rest of the month. Few things make me happier than showing people a good time in my favorite city. My July mood board started with the Watermelon Sugar music video, obviously, and took on a jewel tone summer leisure vibe. The reality of my month will feature a lot more laptop hours and a lot less seaside but the energy is all the same: free-spirited midsummer joy.
Here’s to the sun setting later making the late nights seem all the more reasonable.
